When it Rains it Pours

Description:

My understanding of the saying "when it rains it pours" is describing when something goes bad, a series of bad events follow and it becomes much worse or when something good happens a series of good events follows and it becomes great.

This work focuses on the bad side of the saying and depicts a montage of a man's life destroyed by alcohol and drugs. This artwork is up for interpretation of his fall from society. The artwork is done in dark colours do express the pity of the man's life.

Different elements in this picture are a representation of the man's life. The crack effect in the image is a symbol for his broken life. The needle, pills and bottle of wine show why he is laying in the alley. What caused this man to turn his life to drugs is up for interpretation. The key idea behind this image is that something went bad and because of this he turned to drugs and alcohol which destroyed his life.

Final product design finished

With this design I made i more calm. This is a product that not many people by because it is oriental so think more people would be more likely to cook with it if it wasn't so in in your face. Ive still made it stand out and I think the calmer themed design was a good decision.

Grove Fresh Olives

This is my 2nd product design, I made a few changes from my sketch but i think they were for the best and I'm happy with it.

Kermit's Croaka Cola

This is my first of the three product designs, I kept with my sketch layout and am overall happy with the result. The design is to scale.

sketches of my new packaging design

CocaCola
I came up with a new name being Kermits CraoakaCola. I looked at other similar products such as Pepsi and Dr Pepper and generic brands. I decided to use aspects from the CocaCola and the Pepsi design with adding my one elements

Always Fresh Olives
For this product I decided to try and make a new design that made the product more interesting but still keeping traditional aspects of the product. I came up with a colour scheme that is similar of a olive tree. The new products name 'Grove Fresh' had olive branches branching from the text.

Jeeny's Palm Sugar
With this product i tried to design it more calmly then the original so it wasn't so in your face. This product is something that is new to many people and I think having such a loud design would make people less likely to try it.  I kept the aspects of having the clear film so consumers can see what the product is. I changed the Name to Tommys, i Just think it sounds a bit more friendlier.
